Nicholai La Barrie - Director

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Nicholai started hi s acting career at the age of ten with the Lilliput Children's Theatre and has performed with many of the major theatre companies of Trinidad and Tobago.  He has been seen in TI-JEAN AND HIS BROTHERS for Trinidad Theatre Workshop and CLEARWATER for Clear Water Productions and Oval House.  Since moving to London he has appeared in PASSPORTS TO THE PROMISED LAND (Nitro), THE ADVENTURES OF SNOW BLACK AND ROSE RED (Queenie Productions), MACBETH (Fifth Column Theatre), ONEFOURSEVEN (Dende Collective), THE SEER (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and HIGH HEEL PARROTFISH (Theatre Royal Stratford).  He has directed IT HAD TO BE YOU (Ragoo Productions) and co-directed PIECES OF MINE (Standing Room Only) and PASSPORT TO POSTERITY (Tiata Fahodizi).  Nicholai is currently Head of Youth Arts and resident youth theatre director at Oval House Theatre.  He recently directed the Festival of London Youth Arts award-winning production of CHATROOM for the National Theatre Shell Connections Youth Festival and site specific productions of PETER PAN, TI-JEAN AND HIS BROTHERS and THE LABYRINTH in the flower garden of Kennington Park.

Mark O'Thomas - Writer

Mark O'Thomas is a British playwright and translator.  His first play, FALSE FEEDING was commissioned and produced by Soho Theatre and opened its new home in Dean Street, W1.  This was followed by SALVADOR (Man in the Moon) which earned Critic's Choice in Time Out, VIVA MARIA! and THE PIRHANA LOUNGE (Dende Collective), DOG DOWN (Edinburgh Festival), ALMOST NOTHING (Royal Court) and ONEFOURSEVEN (Dende Collective, National Tour).  His latest work, DONA FLOR AND HER TWO HUSBANDS and AGRESTE were performed at Lyric Hammersmith.  He is currently script advisor to the Royal Court International Department and is engaged in research into the joint processes of adaptation, translation and devised performance.

Andrea Vicari - Composer

Andrea has worked with the cream of the UK jazz scene, including Alan Barnes, Denys Baptiste, Don Weller, Dick Pearce, Tim Whitehead, Tim Garland, Jacqui Dankworth, Dick Pearce and Benn Clatworthy.  Gaining a reputation as a prolific and original composer, in 1994 she was commissioned by the Arts Council and the Peter Whittingham Trust to write music for a new eleven piece jazz orchestra - the Suburban Gorillas project - which was followed by a CD and Jazz Services tour including a triumphant appearance at the Brecon Jazz Festival and a live BBC Broadcast from the Newcastle Playhouse.  She has been described by the 'Penguin Rough Guide to Jazz' as 'one of the most brilliant young musicians in the UK' and is currently Professor of Jazz Piano at Trinity College of Music, London.

Andy Davies

Originally from Swansea in South Wales, Andy was awarded a Trinity College of Music Silver Medal for Outstanding Performance in Jazz Studies in 2003.  The ANDY DAVIES QUARTET was formed in january 2004 as a platform for promoting his own music.  In August 2004, they performed in Italy at venues including Bocabarranca Jazz Club, Nord Est Cafe, The Drome and the Varese Open Jazz Fest.  In October of the same year the band visited Japan where they performed at the Tokyo Opera House adn held workshops at the prestigious Kunitachi Music Academy of Tokyo.  The quarted released their debut CD in March 2005, which was promoted during a tour of Italy which included performances in Turin, Milan, Florence, Genoa, Venice and the Cht

Glenn Macnamara

Glenn performed his concert debut at the age of 15.  He has performed with Frank Sinatra's guitarist, Lino Patruno in Rome, at the PPI Music and Radio Awards, Dublin, teh G-MEX Arena in Manchester and the 606 Club in London.  AT the age of 19 Glenn won a scholarship to the Guildford School of Acting and gained a BA (Hons) degree in Musical Theatre.  Since leaving drama school Glenn has continued his career in musical theatre, jazz and swing music, performing regularly with his own quarted The Big Swing.  He also plays Frank Sinatra in THE RAT PACK'S BACK (SMA Productions) and performs in THE KINGS OF SWING/ABSOLUTE SWING (Calibre Productions) alongside Swing City and The London Swing Orchestra.  Glenn has recently been selected to perform for two of London's longest-serving big bands, Perfidia and The Mike Richards Big Band.  Glenn is concentrating on recording projects this year with his first album.  This will include some classing American standards combined with the original work of Melon, Baxter and Raven co-written with Glenn.  Glenn will also be performing in his own production this year entitled ROCK SWINGS where his own take on the popular song will be on show, from Jamiroquai and Maroon 5 to Michael Jackson and Huey Lewis.
